Inhalte Webinarreihe:

    • Key Objectives: Focussing on the language function, this course is designed to further your ability to communicate effectively and accurately with legal advisors and clients in English. The emphasis will be on oral and written communication.
    • Course Structure: The course lasts 6 months and consists of monthly one-hour webinars, preparation/follow-up time and support from the course tutor.
    • Methodology: Participants will attend monthly webinars during which they will be asked to deliver short presentations or engage in questions and answers around legal topics or client management. A key element of the course format is that in addition to the webinars, participants will receive individual support and feedback from the course tutor. Participants will have short preparation and/or follow-up exercises based on the webinars.
    • Content/Focus: The course will provide participants with the opportunity to expand and enhance their vocabulary, understand nuances and expressions and develop their ability to summarise, advise and persuade in oral and written English. In addition to spoken and written etiquette, participants will receive materials relating to syntax, phrasal verbs, idioms and other specific complexities of the English language.
    Participants: Maximum 12 participants per course. An Advanced level participant is considered
    to be someone who has completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in English (LL.M. in UK/USA/Australia etc.).

    Lecturer: Emma Ziercke (LL.B, M.B.A)

    Emma is a Research Assistant for the Bucerius Center on the Legal Profession (focussing on Organisational Behaviour, HR and Diversity). A former Linklaters Managing Associate (International M&A) from Britain, Emma also teaches English Law, Legal English, Transactional Drafting and Practical Negotiations at the Bucerius Law School.
